No, only a single research area in the FMS PhD programme can be applied for by the candidates. Application and selection is strictly for the selected field. Switching the research area after applying is not allowed. This policy is to ensure depth and dedication to the proposed topic.

FMS provides PhD research work in Operations Management, Decision Science, IT Management, OB & HRM, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Economics, and Public Policy. One area has to be chosen by the applicants at the application level. The area of choice decides the selection and evaluation process. This maintains focused and related research work.

Your chances for a Psychology UG programme in India with a lower score are limited at top-tier institutions like DU but far from impossible. Strong prospects exist at BHU, various central/state universities with lower cutoffs, and distance/open learning colleges. Apply strategically across tiers—and keep an eye on later admission rounds.

Placement support for social work students is limited and often depends on the specialization—they may need to be proactive and rely on personal networking or departmental guidance to secure opportunities.

Internships are available, especially during later years, but structured fieldwork may not be consistent across specializations.

University-wide placement strength exists, though actual job placements within the BSW programme appear to be low.
