The Universities Grants Commission (UGC) has approved BSW programmes taught in India under the Humanities discipline. Applicants may enrol in BSW courses if they have finished the Class 12 level of study.

Both Nizam College and Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam are good for a BA depending on your requirements and interests. In 2022, the UGC of India announced that the M.Phil. course degree is no longer valid and was discontinued as part of the National Education Policy 2020.

M.Phil. course was discontinued in 2020 because it was a very long course which was followed by PhD and took a lot of canddate's years. Students often changed college preference and supervisors in MPhil and PhD in Philosophy which presented dicontinuity and useless learning.
