You must be judicious about your time. Try to allocate more time to those sections that trouble you. If IELTS writing task 2 is posing more problems, then allocate more time to it. There is no definite number of IELTS essays that you must practice in order to score above 7.0. However, you must appear for as many mock tests as possible. Moreover, go through the official IELTS websites and Cambridge IELTS books thoroughly. These must be at the base of your preparation.

For IELTS Writing Task 1, at least 150 words of written work is required. For IELTS Writing Task 2, at least 250 words of essay are required. Anything lower than the minimum requirement will attract a penalty.

Yes, to get into CSUB, IELTS score can be submitted. The minimum IELTS score required is 5.5 for admission to UG courses. For admission to PG courses, the minimum IELTS score required is 6.5. Minimum scores required in the ELP tests are given as follows:
