English language proficiency test scores have to be submitted by UWL international students. IELTS score is also accepted for this purpose. For UG courses, an overall score of 6.0 is required and for master’s and PhD courses, overall IELTS score of 6.5 is required. Other test scores are also given below:

No, the test dates are the same for both Academic and General Training modules. However, since there is a larger number of candidates appearing for the IELTS Academic test - there are more test dates availble for the IELTS Academic exam as compared to the IELTS General Training test. Canddiates are required to choose their module during the booking process.

Missing the deadline doesn't necessarily mean you can't register. Here are the possibilities:

  1. Late registration: You might be able to register late with a late fee, but slots might be limited, and acceptance depends on the center's discretion.
  2. Alternative dates: Consider registering for a different date with available slots, even if it's not your ideal choice.
  3. Wait for cancellations: Keep checking the websites as cancellations sometimes open up slots closer to the test date.

IELTS test dates are conducted throughout the year in India. The IELTS computer-based test is conducted on all days of the month excluding national holidays and major festivals. The IELTS paper-based test is conducted 4 times a month or 48 times a year on Thursdays and Saturdays. Candidates can check out the available IELTS test dates on our website or IDP IELTS India.

The IELTS computer-delivered test is conducted on all days of the week including weekends. However, national holidays and major festivals are days when no IELTS test is held. When we talk about the IELTS paper-delivered test. The IELTS on paper is held four times a month and 48 times a year. They are mainly held on Saturdays and Thursdays.
