The highest band score that can be achieved in the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam is 9.0. The IELTS band scores range from 0 to 9, with 0 representing a non-user and 9 representing an expert user of the English language. Each of the four sections of the IELTS exam (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) is individually graded on a band scale, and then an overall band score is calculated by taking the average of the individual scores. Achieving a band score of 9.0 indicates an exceptional level of English language proficiency across all sections of the exam.

However, it is important to note that the EOR is available only for the IELTS Writing and IELTS Speaking sections, as the Listening and Reading sections are marked by an automated system. To request an EOR, the test taker must submit an application to the test center where they took the exam within a specified timeframe, usually within six weeks of the test date. There is a fee associated with the EOR, and if there is any change in the scores after re-eval
