IIIT Dharwad admissions are done on entrance-basis. The basic eligibility requires the candidates to pass Class 12 or its equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 75%. However,  BTech admissions at IIITD are accepted on the basis of valid score obtained in JEE Main followed by counselling. Only those who meet the cut-off and satisfy all the parameters will be allocated a seat at the university for the BTech programme. IIIT Dharwad BTech is a four-year programme offered with three specialisations in a full-time mode. The specialisations include Data Science and Artificial Intelligence,  Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. IIIT Dharwad admission to the flagship BTech course is completely entrance-based. Candidates are selected through a national-level examination, i.e.,  JEE Main conducted by NTA. Final admission is subject to JoSAA/ CSAB counselling.
