Admission to PGPWE and IPMX course is based on the GMAT scores, candidates are shortlisted for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Other exams such as GRE/CAT/XAT/GATE/PGPEW entrance test are also accepted for PGPEW course. For admission to IIM Lucknow for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024. After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for IIM Lucknow admission.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Lucknow, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Lucknow are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

  • Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
  • Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

Yes, CAT 2025 dates for admission to IIM Lucknow are out. To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. CAT form have to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. Students are required to appear for the CAT exam in Computer Based Testing mode at allotted test centres. CAT exam for IIM Lucknow admission will be held in three slots. These are as follows:

Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow provides admission to FPM courses based on GMAT/CAT/GRE/CSIR NET score followed by a personal interview round. IIM Lucknow also offers Fellowship Programme for Management to students with a master's degree. It is compulsory that each of the aspirant fulfils the minimum eligibility requirement and hold the relevant documents for verification as well. Candidate needs to complete a bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of three years full-time post-qualification (after graduation) work experience as on December 31, of the admission year to apply for the PGPWE course. Admission 2026 to MBA courses of all IIMs, including IIM Lucknow, is through the CAT cutoff 2025. The admission to IIM Lucknow is a two-step process. The first step is based on the CAT qualifying cutoff 2025, and the second step is WAT and PI, which is based on the final cutoff.
