For getting admission in Post Graduate Program in Management of IIM Shillong you have to give CAT. After securing a percentile above the cutoff, you are called for interview and then the cumulative score decides your rank and in order of merit, you are offered admission.

Not really, placements have been 100% for the college and there won't be a problem unless you are in bottom 50 of the batch.

IIM Shillong accepts CAT scores only for admission to its PGP i.e. post graduate program in management. Interview call is generally sent to applicants scoring 95 percentile and above and does fluctuate around this point year after year. It goes without saying that applicants scoring higher percentile have an advantage during the final admission call and the median percentile can be taken to be around 97.5 percentile (General Category).

To be safe, you need to score a percentile of about 95 and above in general category, 91 in SC, 88 in ST and there is no OBC quota and then a good performance in PIs etc. One can never determine an average percentile based on the available data. Also getting an interview call based on percentile isn't sufficient, of course if your final target is to convert the call

No. You need to be specific when you ask such questions. There are several factors the institutions consider while giving a call. For certain categories, it may go upto such a percentile. But in general category, it generally stays in the upper 90s. A percentile has a weightage in the final selection criteria. So generally final selections are concluded in the upper 90s of percentile itself. Further an institute may consider lowering its percentile requirement for interview call to accommodate more diversity. But to answer your question in its basic sense, NO.

Yes. And a new one is also coming up. If you want even better facilities, you can also go for a gym outside the campus.
