Yes, you can pursue an M.Sc. in Astronomy and Astrophysics at IIST after completing a B.Sc. in Physics, with a valid GATE score. IIST offers a Master of Science programme in Astronomy and Astrophysics. The GATE exam is used for admission to postgraduate programs at IIST, and candidates are selected based on their GATE score and performance in written tests or interviews.

IIST offers two-year M.Sc. programs.

To get a seat at IIST Trivandrum through CCMT, candidate must target a score mentioned in the cutoff list. The cutoff was released for different the categories belonging to the All India quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the target score for different specialisations were at the range of 350 and 528, for different specialisations.

Candidates belonging to the General AI category must target a score of atleast 350. The last round closing scores for the General AI category candidates were closed between the range of 350 and 528.
