Considering the IIT Guwahati JAM cutoff 2025 for the Round 4 seat allotment, an IIT JAM rank of 300 is commendable, but it depends on the branch and category whether you will get admission to IIT Guwahati or not. For the candidates belonging to the General AI quota, a 300 rank would not fetch any course as the General All India category cutoffs are ranging between 61 and 265, so, candidates need to score at least 265 rank to secure any seat at IIT Guwahati. Check out the Round 4 seat allotment for the General All India category from the tables below:

Course2025
M.Sc. in Chemistry268
M.Sc. in Physics265
M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing61
M.Sc. in Mathematics139

The tie-breaking criteria for awarding the ranks to candidates scoring the same aggregate marks in a Test Paper will be as follows:
Lower negative marks, followed by NAT marks, then MSQ marks, then score in 2 marks questions, and then score in 2 marks NAT. Subsequently, if there is a tie, then DOB would be used, where, the older candidate gets better rank.
For each Test Paper, an All India Merit List will be prepared based on AIR. The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD) in a given subject. These candidates (hencefort

The IIT JAM scorecard is a inidividual specific document that contains data on candidates' achieved scores, Category cut offs, and rankings. The list of test takers, along with their scores and rankings, can be found in the merit list, which is a common document. Both documents were created by IIT Madras, the organisation in charge of holding the exam. No one else has access to the IIT JAM scorecard, which is only given to candidates who can download it by checking in with their registration credentials. On the other side, the IIT JAM merit list is made public and contains the candidates' All India Rank lists and scores.

Candidates must first determine whether they have qualified for the exam by comparing their earned score to the qualifying or cutoff marks once the IIT JAM result has been announced. If they do, they will need to get ready for the IIT JAM counselling procedure, which is the following step.

They must have the relevant paperwork on hand, including the printout of the IIT JAM scorecard, for this. To ensure they don't miss any crucial announcements, they should also frequently monitor the websites for state and national counseling programs. If students fall short of the IIT JAM cutoff, they will need to look into other programs that accept
