Follow the steps to apply at IIT Jammu:  

1. Go to the official website. Register for the JEE Mains Exam. 
2. Appear for JEE Mains and Advance
3. Take part in the JoSAA counselling
4. Pay the admission fee. 

Candidates willing to get admission to the BTech course must take part in the IIT Jammu admission process before the last date of application. Students applying through JEE Main must follow the application process mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website and register for the JEE Main exam.

Step 2: Appear for the JEE Main exam.

Step 3: Then appear for the JEE Advance. Then take part in the JoSAA counselling.

Step 4: Visit the allotted college and pay the admission fee.

There are a total of 72 seats for MTech programmes of IIT Jammu. The highest number of seats are for MTech in Data Science and Information Security courses, i.e., 18 seats. Candidates are admitted to the PG courses based on GATE scores and educational qualifications. The seat allotment is carried out through COAP counselling. Further, it must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

The admission to MTech at IIT Jammu is entrance-based. Candidates are required to appear for GATE exam and secure a good score. A cutoff list is then released to declare the minimum score required for selection. Candidates who meet the cutoff score become eligible for participation in COAP counselling. During counselling, the seat allotment process is carried out. The candidates who get a seat in IIT Jammu MTech courses shall report at the institute to submit important documents and pay the admission fee amount.

The admission cycle for MTech commences at IIT Jammu with GATE registrations. Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee has extended the GATE 2025 application submission date with extended fees. Aspirants shall ensure that they submit their forms on or before the prescribed deadline to become eligible to sit for the entrance examination.

To get into MTech at IIT Jammu, aspirants must fulfil the prescribed eligibility requirements. Aspirants with a valid bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (four-year course) or a master's degree in Science with marks not below the specified minimum can apply. Apart from this, for selection, candidates also need to have a valid GATE score and perform well in the selection rounds. 

The total fee for IIT Jammu MTech programmes is cumulative of multiple components, such as hostel fee, security deposit, tuition fee, etc. Some of the fee components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly. To get a seat in a MTech course of IIT Jammu, the aspirants need to have a valid GATE score. A cutoff list is then published indicating the minimum exam score required for a candidate to become eligible for admission. There are various job opportunities for BTech graduates in the government sector. Hence, IIT Jammu BTech graduates can also apply for these jobs.
