The institute has not released the branch-wise placement rate. However, the sector-wise offers made are disclosed. The core sector appeared as the top preference with over 27.60% of students placed in it. The second preferred sector was IT. See the below snip depicting the sector-wise distribution of IITM placements 2023:

The institute has released branch-wise salary data for BTech and M.Tech courses. As per the report, the highest package offered to BTech, DD, and IDDD students from CSE was INR 1.31 crore per annum and for M.Tech CSE, the highest package stood at INR 54.21 LPA. The IIT Madras CSE average package is not out yet. Check the below table to know the IIT Madras CSE placement packages for 2023:

Indian Institute of Technology Madras has released a combined report for placements and internships 2023. The report highlights course-wise and sector-wise data. Get a detailed analysis from the IIT Madras placement report 2023 available on the official website. Visit placement.iitmadras.ac.in, then go to the 'Our Statistics' section given on the page. Click on 2022-23 report. Download and save it for future reference.

The IIT Madras placement procedure is explained in the table below:

The overall the highest package for the academic year 2022-23 stood at INR 1.31 crore per annum and was grabbed by UG students (BTech, DD, and IDDD). The highest package offered to the 2022 passing-out batch was INR 2.14 crore per annum. Looking at the past three years' record, year-on-year growth was recorded in the highest package.
