IIT Dharwad offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MS M.Sc. And Ph.D. courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. Admission to the IIT Dharwad courses is based on national-level entrance exam scores. All the students are provided with on-campus hostel accommodation. Apart from this, sports facilities are being set up on campus (volleyball, football, cricket, etc. ). In addition, students are permitted to use the neighboring University of Agricultural Sciences grounds. Some of the other campus facilities include:

The university has not released the average package data, IIT Dharwad CSE average package or any other course-specific placements Statistics for the year 2023. However, as per the NIRF report 2022, the median package offered to Engineering students was INR 7.50 LPA.

It is currently being operated from the temporary campus at the Ahalia Integrated Campus in Kozhippara, Palakkad and the permanent campus in Kanjikode.
