Yes, IIT Dharwad offers MTech courses, and admission is based on GATE scores. MTech at IIT Dharwad is offered in three specialisations, namely Data Science & AI, Mechanical, Sustainable & Smart Mobility. The total tuition fee for the entire M.Tech course is INR 20,000.  The admissions shall be made through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). All interested and eligible candidates are required to register on COAP. After successful registration in COAP, the candidate has to submit the online application in the M.Tech. application portal of IIT Dharwad

No, candidates need to pass GATE followed by COAP Counselling for admission to the M.Tech course. To be considered for admission to a postgraduate engineering or technical programme or a doctoral programme, candidates must appear and qualify for the test.
