Both IIT and TUM Munich are very good in different fields. IITs give greater emphasis to UG studies, and maintains stronger connections in the Indian job market. TUM offers a better research environment and has a better global network. Which one is better depends on what a student is looking for. II

Overall, 50-55% seats are reserved in IITs. The break-up of reservation is - 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 10% for Gen-EWS and 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates.
