No branch has lower or higher value. Every branch has it's own importance and demand. Take the branch which suits your passion and skills the most. Don't just follow the placement trend as you have to study that branch for next 4 years. So, loving the subject is important. In IIT you will always get more opportunities than in NIT.

It is not fixed that this much candidate will be getting selected through predatory course. It is decided by how much candidate qualified under main cut off marks out of total students. If this comes out to equal to total students that no students will be getting selected. But I would advise you to call help line and know more about it.

Firstly, hearty congratulations for getting a seat in IIT Tiruapti. The Mechanical Engineering branch has a great scope at IIT Tirupati. You will get a highly qualified professors here. I would like to tell some pros of taking mechanical engineering at IIT Tirupati. The student strength is less so you don't have to face competition as much in other colleges. The professors are highly qualified. Some of them are retired from old IITS like Kanpur and Madras. The new faculty is also highly qualified and helping in nature. They are always ready to help you.
