Yes IITs are better in terms of placement except new IITs.Top NITs are somehow better than the new IITs in placement records.I have seen students rejecting a seat in new IIT for Top NIT.

Yes obviously, you have to wait. But that is the course. They want to provide equality to SC ST and PwD people. IITB has some articles about it. they may help you understand better.

its depend on Your category. if u have sc or st category then u can get college.
if u have obc or general category then u can't get nit. or IIT needs 75% minimum. so u can't eligible for IIT.
