BMLT stands for Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology. There are about 29 colleges in West Bengal that offer BMLT course in a full-time mode of study. Out of which,  11 are owned by the Private sector and the rest 7 are owned by the Public sector. Some of the popular BMLT colleges in West Bengal are Sister Nivedita University, KPC Medical College and Hospital, JIS University, Vivekananda Institute of Advanced Studies, The Neotia University, IQ City Medical College, and many more.

Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) is a degree course which deals with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases with the help of laboratory tests. The duration of this course is 3 years and 6 months. BSc Medical Laboratory Technology is similar to the BMLT course. The eligibility criteria for BTech at Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University differ based on the course. Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission to BTech in Food Technology.
