Yes, you are eligible to study in IIM. The total fee of IIM-K is around 17.5 lakhs for 2 years. 16 lakhs is the tuition fee and rest are hostel and mess expenses. For a detailed breakup, visit: www.iimk.ac.in.

The closing ranks vary for each course even under the home state ranks.

Future scope in metallurgy and material science is really bright. It has a lot of scope in the steel industry and other metal industries. The timing could not be better after India has signed recent contracts with Boeing and Airbus under the "Make In India" initiative. You have to aim for the best institutes to pay for the dividends.
