Marks required in NEET to get admission in a government college of India for MBBS are:
For general category required marks are 510-515.
For OBC category required marks are 497-507.
For SBC category required marks are 490-495.
For SC category required marks are 390.
ST category required marks are 330.

As per my opinion, if you want to try for private universities, except VIT vellore there are other great options available like GGSIPU, Delhi or Pune universty colleges and various others in Pune where you will get good environment, good exposure and good study culture, good campus placements too. S

I feel sorry to say but you will only get good private colleges not any IITs or NITs. There are many good engineering colleges and universities all over India.
