It's perfectly possible to get lateral admission with less fees.
Fees are least in Govt college. COEP is very good college. If you want admission here then you will have to study well in diploma and score very good marks.

Techno India Salt Lake is among the top private engineering colleges of Kolkata. So, you may consider it, and yes, there are two branches in Salt Lake from one being in sector 5 and another in Rajarhat Salt Lake. But, the best of them is Salt Lake sector 5.
