The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) follows the norms set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the engagement of external examiners in Ph.D. programs of the university. The rules in the Ph.D. programme of the university state that there are two external examiners for a thesis, and one of them must be from a foreign country. External examiners would usually be professors or associate professors in a deemed or recognised university.

There are no explicit provisions for fairly appointing external examiners for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including that of the School of Design, available in public documents. However, the university has provisions for adherence to UGC guidelines, which also maintain a code of conducts that encourage the acts of ethical behavior and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

UGC guidelines do not necessarily mention the provision of excusing external examiners from states other than the one for purposes of conducting end-semester examinations in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It is entirely institution dependent.

CUET is a widely accepted entrance exam for BA programs in India. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the CUET exam annually in over 500 cities in India and abroad. The CUET 2025 exam for the academic year 2025-26 will be held in May/June 2025. 

A good CUET score is typically 85% and above, but it depends on the course chosen and the targeted university. For competitive courses in top universities, a higher percentage is required. 

The update regarding the cut off was expected this week and these admissions are done for B.Tech at ICFAI University Tripura provided that the candidates have completed their 10+2 with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English for reserved category it's 40%. Besides, the candidate has to clear the ICFAI Tech School Admission Test (ITSAT) or any national level entrance test like JEE Main/ Advanced. There are no minimum actual ranks mentioned for ITSAT examination but the candidates are admitted based on merit policy of the entrance examination. The cost of acquiring an MBA at ICFAI University Tripura can be stated to be moderate by all standards. Tuition Fee for the entire two years MBA programme is about Rs. 240,000/- only.
