There are about 200+ BTech in Biomedical Engineering colleges in India. Of these, 190+ colleges are privately owned and 25 colleges are owned by public/government. VIT Vellore, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, etc. are the top BTech Biomedical Engineering colleges in India.

There are many top engineering colleges present in Uttar Pradesh that offer B.Tech courses. Some of them are privately owned and other are government colleges. Admission to these colleges is offered based on the state-level and national-level entrance exans like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, UPSC BTech, DASA UG, IUET, UPCET and Uni-GAUGE. The best two government colleges I would say are IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU. Yes, you can get admission in Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) for the B.V.Sc. course without NEET if you are from Uttarakhand. Admission to B.V.Sc. for Uttarakhand candidates is based on merit in the entrance exam conducted by the university, not through NEET
