NEET-PG is extremely competitive across India, and Andhra Pradesh graduates are no exception to this challenge. Many coaching institutes specifically for NEET-PG preparation are available in cities like Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Hyderabad (though Hyderabad is now in Telangana, many AP students still access coaching there). Getting a good PG seat in a high-demand specialization like Radiology or Dermatology requires a very high NEET-PG rank, often in the top few thousand out of hundreds of thousands of applicants.

After MBBS, the most sought-after PG specializations among Andhra Pradesh graduates are broadly similar to national trends. Radiology, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology are the most competitive because of high earning potential and relatively better lifestyle compared to high-intensity surgical specialties. General Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics are always in demand and form the backbone of clinical practice.
