However, the median package at IISER Mohali for B.Sc students is INR 6.50 LPA in 2020- 2021 and INR 8 LPA in 2022 .

Candidates must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) exam with Science stream in 2023 or 2024 from any board recognised by Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE. So you can not apply.

Three routes exists for admission:
1. IAT Channel
a. Applicants who want to be admitted through this route have to take the computer-based IISER Aptitude Test (IAT-2023). B. IAT-2023 will take place at several locations across the nation on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 9:00 AM.
2. KVPY Network
Students in KVPY-SA-2021 who have been awarded a provisional KVPY fellowship are qualified to apply for admission. A. There is no eligibility for candidates on the extended KVPY merit list. B. Applicants do not need to show up for the IAT-2023 in order to be admitted through this channel.
3. JEE Channel

Hello Nishar Ahmed, your query is definitely correct but as far as this institute is concerned, is misplaced. With just 2 or 3 students out of almost 150, is no way statistics can be of help. Just to satisfy you, median package was 6.5L and 8L for previous two years.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, it's a very tough query to answer. There are different reasons. Firstly it's an institution where research in basic Science is the motto. This makes it unfit for normal recruiters. Secondly even students do not want to get placed not only after graduation but even after PG as almost every student opts for PhD. This results in very skewed ratio of just handful of students out of more than 100 getting placed.
Frankly speaking, no one joins this place for getting job after undergraduate postgraduate or doctoral studies. Research oriented work is preferable to students. Hence many get opportunities to even work abr
