The cutoff for B.Tech CSE at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is very competitive. In JoSAA 2025 counselling, the General category closing rank was around AIR 66, while OBC-NCL closed around rank 54. Cutoffs may change depending on category, seat availability and counselling rounds. IIT Bombay CSE is among the top engineering programs in India because of its placements, research opportunities and strong coding environment.

The latest JoSAA 2025 cutoff for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was highly competitive. For students belonging to the SC AI quota, a cutoff rank between 13 and 674 is considered to be a safe rank for MSc admission at IIT Bombay. In IIT Bombay B.Tech admissions of 2024, cutoffs (closing ranks) were also very varied across branches and branch-wise across categories. In the much desired Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), the last rank was 68 in the general category. Yes, IIT Bombay offers admission to MBA course on the basis of candidates' performance in the CAT entrance exam, followed by WAT and PI round.The institute releases two types of CAT cutoffs, namely the qualifying CAT cutoff and the final CAT cutoff. Securing a minimum qualifying cutoff just means that the candidate is eligible for the next step in the admission procedure. IIT Bombay JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks. Normally, the number of seats is directly proportionate to the Cutoff ranks. Also, it is observed that as the number of applicants increase, the Cutoff rank also increases.
