IIT Bombay M.Tech admission is granted based on merit in GATE exam. Candidates seeking admission must have a valid score in the national-level entrance examination. The aspirants who meet the cutoff mark become eligible for the COAP counselling for seat allotment. Admission to IIT Bombay's MDes programme is based on the applicants' performance in CEED, followed by a written test and inteview conducted by the institute. Candidates who have a valid CEED score and fulfil the preset eligibility requirements can visit the institute's official website to submit an online application. Yes, candidates can get admission to M.Tech course at IIT Bombay through GATE. Admission to the course is based on scores in GATE followed by COAP counselling. In addition, to be eligible to take the entrance test, candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The college provide M.Tech course acorss various specialisations. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, candidate must pass a Bachelor degree in any recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category).

Enrollment in B.Tech programs at IIT Bomaby os contingnent upon meering the qualigying standards for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Applicants must have completed calss 12 in the Science stream with at least a 75% aggregate score (65% for SC/ST/PwD). Admission to IIT-B is done after the release of JEE cutoff followed by a counseling.

To get admission:

A) Candidates who have 3 years/4 years Bachelor's degree can apply for an MA in IIT Bombay.

B) Candidates must meet the minimum percentage criterion in their qualifying degree as per the institute norms (GN/EWS/OBC-NC 60% and SC/ST/PwD 55%; or a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)/Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 on the scale of 0-10; or an equivalent to 6.0 or other corresponding.

No, you cannot get direct admission in IIT Bombay for any undergraduate programme. You need to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced and qualify the cutoffs to be eligible for admission in IIT Bombay. The JEE Advanced 2024 exam will be conducted on May 26, 2024 and the registration will start from April 21, 2024.

However, if you have passed your qualifying degree from any Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) with a valid GATE score, then you may be eligible for direct admission to some postgraduate programmes, such as MTech, without having to appear for GATE. After the completion of the application process and entrance exams, candidates are shortlisted based on the following criteria for each course:

  • For BTech admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. Candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech, BTech-MTech (Dual Degree) and BSc courses.
