The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) was established by the Government of Delhi in 2013 and is an independent government engineering college in Delhi. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women is the only government technical university for women in India established by the Delhi State Legislature.

The University has two women hostels - Krishna Hostel and Kaveri Hostel, to accommodate approximately 300 students. These two hostels are located in the University campus.
