IIIT Delhi doesn't offer direct admission to its programme. IIIT Delhi admission is primarily entrance-based. The candidates are selected through national-level examinations conducted by different authorities. Students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and have a valid score on the JEE Main/MHT CET exam can apply to BTech cousrse. JEE Main rank is accepted by both DTU and IIT Delhi, followed by the JAC Delhi counselling process for admission to various BTech specialisations. According to the JAC Delhi Round 1 cutoff 2025, the closing rank for CSE admission for the General AI category was 2285. While for IIT Delhi it was 8171.
Therefore, going by the cutoff for both institutions, IIT Delhi is relatively easier for CSE admissions. Although those candidates who qualified for DTU can view other parameters to consider for a better, more knowledgeable decision.

The minimum cutoff rank required for IIIT BTech in CSE admission during the Round 1 admission was 7429 or less for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Students with lower cutoff ranks will have the better chance of securing admission to CSE at IIIT Delhi. BTech total course fee is cumulative of various fee components, including tuition fee, hostel charges (if applicable), alumni fee, security money, etc. The total tuition fee for the UG course is INR 18 lakh, plus the hostel fee is up to INR 3.18 lakh, and a one-time fee of INR 12,000 also has to be paid. This one-time fee includes a security deposit, admission fee, etc. Candidates can also visit the IIIT Delhi official website for a detailed fee structure. It must be noted that the fee mentioned here is taken from external sources.

IIIT Delhi is one of the top IIITs in India. The placement in the institute is also very impressive at 95 percent every year . The highest domestic package for the year 2023 was INR 51.03 lacs per annum, followed by the highest international package at INR 51.30 lacs per annum. The average package was INR 23.65 lacs per annum and the median package was INR 18.50 lacs per annum.

Yes, IIIT Banglore offers better placements than other top IIITs. The placement records are impeccable at 90-95 percent every year which is slightly higher than other top IIITs. Approximately 553 offers were made to the students during the 2023 campus selection. The highest package offered to students was INR 65 lacs per annum, followed by average package at INR 35 lacs per annum.
