IIIT Bangalore and IIIT Delhi, both are closely knit leading Engineering Institutes in India. The NIRF ranking 2025 of IIIT Bangalore is 69 whereas IIIT Delhi is ranked 63 in the Engineering category.
According to student reviews and public sources, IIIT Bangalore has an edge of IIIT Delhi for M.Tech programmes. However, IIIT Delhi has a good reputation academically. As per the NIRF 2025 ranking under the “Engineering” category, Indraprastha IIT Delhi ranks 63 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. The total fee for M.Tech in IIIT Delhi ranges between INR 3.7 Lacs and INR 6 lakh. NIT Trichy MTech fee is INR 1.4 lakh. As per placement statistics, the median package is recorded to be INR 18.17 LPA for IIITD and INR 7 LPA for NIT Trichy. Hence, it can be concluded that the fee is higher at IIITD.
