In most cases, no you can not directly take admission in third year of B.Com when you fail in the 1 st year and then you take a free year. Academic progression rules in University are normally severe. It is most likely that you would be required to re-enrol during the first year or the second year at worst, in the event that you pass your failed subjects upon the discretion of the university regarding the re-admission policy. A gap year does not automatically lead to a promotion since there is a normal practice of having a backlog of failed subjects, especially at the advanced years. Candidates who have completed Class 12 from Maharashtra State Board or equivalent can apply for the BCom programme at IDOL Mumbai University. A minimim of 45% aggregate is required to apply for BCom Accounting and Finance. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for reserved category candidates.

Candidates can apply for any of the UG programmes offered at IDOL Mumbai University after completing Class 12. The institute has not specified any aggregate for UG courses. Since 65% is a decent score, aspirants can get admission in any of the UG courses. The selection for UG courses is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.

IDOL Mumbai University provides direct admission to candidates based on their merit in the last qualifying exam to most of the programmes. However, aspirants need to pass the entrance exam conducted by the institute for a few courses such as MCA, MMS, etc. Once selected, candidates have to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.
