As far as I have known, IHM-Pusa is better than the one in Mumbai in many aspects. I have a few friends studying in both the campuses, therefore, I have an insight of this matter.

Both are premiere institutions in India for hotel management. The placements here are 100% with the best package and a better designation. The work you have to do is develop your hospitality skills in a way you need to get through as an management trainee. A management trainee recruited in a campus placement for any hotel within 2 years he/she will become a assistant manager. Every students aim is to be a MT. Develop your skills in a way your different from others and you will definitely get placed in hotel chains.

If you belong to any reserved category then you may get the IHM, Mumbai or Delhi, but if you don't then there are less chances of getting into these colleges.

IHM Aurangabad and IHM Mumbai are both great institutes, IHM - A is owned by the Taj group and hence is private, on the other hand IHM Mumbai is under the ministry of tourism like the other IHMCTANs. As for the fees, IHM-A is way costlier than IHMCTANs.

A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period starts the day of the fifth unsuccessful exam retake. The candidate is then eligible to retake the exam 12 months from that date.

IIHM is working under a Charitable trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act. IIHM is affiliated to University of Mumbai and MSBVEE etc. While IHM Mumbai is an autonomous institute and working under Ministry of Tourism, government of India. So IHm Mumbai is a Central government Institute. The admission in IIHM are based on Merit in qualifying exam while the admission in IHM Mumbai are based on NCHMCT JEE entrance exam conducted by NTA. Both colleges are good but for placement point of view I am with IHM Mumbai.

Yes, you can easily do hotel management or Diploma in a specific department (food production/front office/food and beverage service/housekeeping) but if you want to do it from IHM, then you must have to clear the entrance exam.
