Candidates seeking BSc admission at IMS BHU (Varanasi) can start the admission process by checking their eligibility. Those who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria can register for NEET UG, the entrance exam accepted for BSc admission at the institute. Shortlisted candidates are allotted IMS BHU BSc seats through the counselling following NEET UG. The counselling is based on the candidates' performance in the entrance exam. NEET UG is the accepted entrance exam for BSc admission at IMS BHU. The exam is conducted once every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam dates vary yearly. It is usually conducted in May. In 2025, the NEET 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on May 4, 2025 (2 pm to 5 pm). The application process for the same was conducted between Feb 7, 2025 and Mar 7, 2025. Eligible candidates can visit the official NEET UG (NTA) website to apply for the exam.

To apply for BSc Nursing at IMS BHU, aspirants are required to apply for the NEET UG entrance exam. It is usually conducted in May. The application process for the same is conducted between February and March every year. In 2025, NTA released the NEET 2025 notification, information bulletin and NEET 2025 application form on February 7, 2025. The last date to submit the filled up application form was March 7, 2025 (11.50 PM).

Institute of Medical Sciences BHU UG Diploma admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the preset eligibility criteria. To be eligible for admission, candidates fulfil the following IMS BHU UG Diploma eligibility requiements:
- They must have passed Class 12 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, & Biology) and English
- They must have scored at least 50% in Class 12
- Their age must be at least 17 years and not more than 25 years as of the year of admission
