A full-time MBBS programme is available through the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). A valid NEET UG exam score is required for admission, and the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling afterward. June is when the BHU MBBS application form is made available. Students can simply register on the MCC portal in order to pursue admission to the MBBS program. The institute has released the NIRF report 2022. According to the NIRF report 2022, 10 MBBS students were placed during 2020 placements.
Whereas 128 students of PG courses were placed during 2021 placements. Further, the median package offered to MBBS students during 2020 placements was INR 14 LPA.
Banaras Hindu University has been ranked at eighth position amongst the top university and colleges under the “Medical” category by NIRF 2023 rankings.
Also can grab top government colleges such as AIIMS, and MBBS interns are paid the MBBS Internship salary of around INR 30,000 per month.

The latest cut-off figures for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) admissions to IMS BHU reveal promising trends. Hostels and mess are rated nicely by the students and involvement of students in various cultural and yearly programs and festivities that make students'lives academically and socially great. Banaras Hindu University, the institute of medical sciences has a completely entrance based admission process.
Admission in MBBS and BDC are on the basis of the candidate's score of NEET-UG Exam. A merit is formed on the basis of scores of NEET-UG exam and allotment of departments are followed on the basis of the merit. For B.Sc and nursing sciences fields the institute has its own University level entrance examination.
