Tourism is yet another demanding field and has seen exponential growth in recent years. It is a dynamic and competitive industry that requires the ability to adapt constantly to customers' changing needs and desires, as the customer's satisfaction, safety, and enjoyment are the focus of tourism businesses. After successful completion of the course, you can look for employment opportunities in Tourism department, hotels, airlines, travel agency etc. Starting salary for both the fields will be approximately INR 3.5 Lacs. This figure is of course an approximate figure. Rest depends on the hiring company and your experience.

The new academic year generally begins in the month of July. The course fee for interior designing varies in different colleges, but for an idea, government colleges like, NIFT or NID would charge around INR 8 Lacs for a 4-year course. The private colleges would definitely have higher fees than this. Situation test is a practical based test. It doesn't relates to your specific stream, but is conducted on a basic level for every design student no matter which stream in design he/she further wishes to choose. The situation test is all about creative, innovative ideas, which are to be shown practically with a limited time frame. The material is provided to you which can be anything. Like a paper or a matchstick or may be a rubber band. You will have to use the material to build what the question says. You will be judged on various things like idea, creativity and how you can think out of box in the given time.
