ID is a lower qualification as compared to D.Arch.
You will get jobs under architects.
B.Arch/AMICE (Arch.) is the proper qualification.

Yes there is an entrance exam for National Institute of Design. The institute conducts a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) as an admission criteria, that happens in two phases. Yes the institute does offer B.Sc in Interior Design which is a three years regular course. To be eligible for the course, you need to clear your 10+2 from a recognised board of education. You can reach out the institute directly for the admissions.

You can apply online through the website of Apeejay Institute of Design. To be eligible, you need to clear your 10+2 from a recognized board of eductaion with 50% marks from any stream. An entrance exam will be conducted, followed by an interview.
