Please check for your eligibility to pursue Diploma in interior design from the criteria mentioned below:
Diploma in Interior Design: Eligibility
Candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent level examination with at least 50% (40% to 45% for reserved category candidates) of the marks from a recognised state or central board
He/She shall not be having any backlog or compartment in any of the subject/subjects at class 12th or equivalent level that is yet to be cleared at the time of taking admissions. Apart from the above-mentioned eligibility criteria various colleges/institutes may have their own additional criteria which the students would have to satisfy in order to take admission. In case of reserved category students, they would have to present their reservation certificates issued by the competent authorities in order to avail the benefits applicable to them. Certain Institutes grant admissions through Entrance Test (ET). To get admission in these institutes candidates would have to qualify the respective entrance exam by securing minimum qualifying marks. The eligibility criteria mentioned above are common to most of the universities and colleges across the country that are offering Diploma in Interior Design course to the students. Regards.

Eligibility Criteria for PG Diploma Interior Designing
Anyone who intends to pursue PG Diploma in Interior Designing does need to have completed his or her 10+2 in any stream, apart from having a 3 years graduate degree in interior designing, design, engineering, technology or architecture with minimum 45 percent marks from a recognised university. Those who have a Diploma in Interior Design or Craft Design are also eligible for postgraduate diploma and degree courses in Interior Designing.

MODE Diploma in Interior Designing
Full Time 1 Year (50K and 2 Lakh)
Distance Learning 1 years and above (30 to 1 Lakh)
Part Time 1 Year (40 K to 1.5 Lakh)-
Online 1 Year (20 K and above)
I don't think ICAT Design and Media College, Hyderabad has interior designing. But if you are asking for B.Sc. in Photography there, than let me tell you it is a 3 years course (Full Time). And eligibility for this course is - Candidate must have passed 10+2 in English Medium, candidates who have not studied in English medium must have completed IELTS level 6.
Candidates who have passed 3 year diploma from recognised university after 10th can also apply for the course.

General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of the qualifying examination with minimum 50% marks in any stream. Merit or entrance it totally depends on the university or college you choose. Scope for Interrior designing - The Scope of Interior designing in today world is much more competitive than it was years ago, to make a career in Interior designing its important to have an early exposure in the industry by means of education as well as practical knowledge. Interior design is an artful Science which can enhance the aesthetics, functionality and create healthier living environments for the clients/end users. An Interior designer is equipped with an education, degree and practical experience to plan, coordinate, design and execute projects. The professional scope of an interior designer is huge in India and backed with a flair for innovative thinking and designing one can reach a pinnacle in this field. But yes! India needs more interior designers, there are a number of reputed interior designing institutes but most of the students, after gaining the degree, moves abroad in search for jobs. Actually India as country is growing at a very fast speed so as in future, and in India the interior designing industry is said to be growing at a rate of 20%. So, if you are thinking about taking up a Diploma/degree in interior designing in India, you are probably on the right track.
