JCE belongs to and is supported by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). As a result, semester exam outcomes for JCE students are published by VTU. Semester exam results for Odd semester (Dec/Jan) are available by February, while those for Even semester (May/June) are given by July/August. The results can be viewed by students on the VTU website using their USN.

Before applying to JCE for B.E./B.Tech, you should make sure you have a 45% aggregate in your 12th-grade exams with Physics/Maths. After step 2, sit for the entrance exams accepted by you, like KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main or JET. Complete the application by filling in the form correctly, in person or online. When your scores are released, join the counselling or selection, confirm your documents and finally make the required payment to confirm admission.

Documents that must be prepared for B.E./B.Tech at JCE comprise your 10th and 12th mark sheets, Transfer and Migration Certificates and scorecards from KCET/COMEDK. An Aadhar card, photos in the passport size and category/income certificates will also be important if they fit your case. Always have access to your attested photocopies and scans.
