Hi, CSE is not an ordinary field! It's highly dynamic and competitive. The syllabi need to be updated continuously as you never know when the technologies can be rendered obsolete. So it would be best if you compared them on the following parameters. Curriculum development: Is the curriculum at the university is upgraded with industry inputs. Teaching pedagogy: Your college must have experiential learning practices. More the practical, better it is. Infrastructure: To support the practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum. Internships: For learning hands in real-time situations. Professional enhancement: The college must focus on personality development, soft skills, interpersonal skills, work ethics, etc. Technologies: The curriculum must include training on cutting-edge technologies like SAP, GitHub, etc. Student diversity: When the class comprises diverse nationalities, students learn working in corporate, teamwork, and cross-cultural sensibilities. Faculty: High caliber and research-oriented. Industry interface: There must be regular industry interactions, seminars, conferences, visits, and mentorship programs. Entrepreneurship projects: The universities need to have design thinking, innovation. Placements: After all, it boils down to placements; the university must attract many companies for recruitment and offer good salaries. LPU has excellent placement stats that range from 5-42 LPA. All the institutes are fine. But I would like to share my insights about LPU.
1. Accreditation: As LPU got accreditation from the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs, USA (ACBSP). Not only LPU is highly accredited, but also it is having numerous international tie-ups for instance university of North Alabama, Livingstone College etc.
2. Size:LPU is spread over 600 acres campus consisting of 3000+students and 3500+ faculty members and staff. Students are taking the admissions not from all over India but across the borders as well which make me feel that I am in a foreign land.

5. Placements: LPU is having outstanding Placements record for the students. As every year not only national companies but also international ones are also hiring the LPU students for instance Amazon offers 30 Lacs package per annum. The Corporates which have visited the campus are Microsoft, Amazon, DBS Bank etc.
6. Faculty: LPU composed of the best faculty members from IIM, IITs and the other best B schools.
7. Upgraded Approach: LPU is highly upgraded in its parameters as it includes paperless attendance, online assignments, submission etc. We can also raise our grievances online itself.

Both are doing pretty well in this branch which is highly sought after and has maximum opportunities.
But change is the only constant in computer engineering! LPU has adjusted dynamically to the continuous updates and changes in the industry.
I would suggest you compare the following parameters:
Curriculum: If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback from the industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you can't afford a program that is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi.
Pedagogy: The teaching pedagogy forms the backbone of how the program is delivered, more practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well-rounded professional.
Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now high tech-driven, the tech program must have the exposure and training of the same. The world-leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel, etc are a must for any professional to succeed in their career.
Industry interface: Ultimately it's the industry that is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits, and internships are a must-have in any tech program.
Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills, etc are given high importance in the organizations. The program must include the training or modules on all these.
Diversity: As the world shrinks into an aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross-cultural teams having entirely different work cultures and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students to develop the right sensibilities for such work atmosphere.
Entrepreneurship: Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator.
Placements: The program is only means to the end ! And desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has solid a track record of placements or not.
