No, Jamia Hamdard does not provide direct admission. The selection for BTech is based on JEE Main result. In case of delay in the conduct of JEE or if JEE candidates are not available, the university may offer admission based on merit of aggregate percentage of first five subjects of the qualifying examination. After completion of all the selection rounds, the university releases a selection list with the names of selected candidates. Such candidates recieve an email with further instructions. Aspirants need to pay their course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

As per the brochure released in the year 2023, candidates seeking admission to BTech must have passed Class 12 exams with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with one subject out of the following: CS, Chemistry, or Electronics from CBSE or any other recognised board securing at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA. Followed by meeting the eligibility criteria, candidates are required to qualify the Paper-1 of JEE Main exam conducted by NTA.
