MODELLING : There is no specific qualification or age limit to enter into this field. First step for making an entry is to prepare a portfolio. This consists of a series of photographs taken by a professional photographer. You can also apply for the contests sponsored by magazines, cloth manufactures, cosmetic companies etc and participating in beauty pageants. Males should be around 5'11” to 6'2” tall, with a fit body.Being photogenic is the single most important quality to have for a model. Apart from this good knowledge of acting, camera friendly attitude and a great amount of self confidence will reward success in this profession.
ACTING : It is not so easy to get into this field, since more and more youngsters want to get into this field, it has made this field all the more competitive. What is further difficult is to sustain yourself in this field for a long and a prosperous career and for that you need to have a lot of patience, a strong belief in yourself and last but not the least, you need to polish your acting skills, which can be done by taking up a professional course. There are many institutions in our country which provide degree and diploma courses in drama and acting. However, this talent has to be tagged with other qualities like coordinated movements, a well modulated voice, a propensity for dancing and a good sense of rhythm. Further you must possess the ability to do different roles and with different sets of emotions without flaw. If you think you have all these qualities along with self-confidence and optimistic thinking, then this is a right career for you.
