Workload in the first year is managable but ofcourse varies depending on the student. Classes begin from 9:00 am to 5 or 5.30. yes there are attendance restrictions. You ll be required to have 75% attendance otherwise you wont be allowed to take the exams. yes you can prepare side by side for Govt exams but that will again depend upon how well you manage time.

There was a MOU 3-4 years back but nothing is there currently. However, if you are interested for any such thing then you can find out a relevant summer school, convince your batch-mates and the faculty and go on your own expenses.
