This UG Diploma is part of informal courses that this institute offers and hence the student will have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by this institute. This of course after registering yourself online for this course. From the various sources of information various pages on the net and many other places there was no information what so ever on any cut off that this institute prescribes for students who are seeking admission for undergraduate Diploma course. Hence I feel that the only requirement would be for the student to pass the entrance exam that is conducted by this Institute.

Yes with your marks of about 70% in class 12th I am sure you will get admission in any of the informal or formal courses definitely. Of course you will have to register yourself online and then appear for an entrance exam if you are interested in any of the informal course that this Institute offers. On the other hand you need not appear for entrance exam conducted by the institute if you want to see admission for the formal courses for which this Institute is affiliated to the Kashmir University.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology at Srinagar grants admission for informal courses is based on an entrance exam that the institute conducts twice in a year. Merit in this examination will determine the admission. For formal courses, for which the certificate and degree is awarded by the University to which this Institute is attached, there is no entrance exam and the admissions are given based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. There is no mention of any cut off for getting admission in informal courses in various sources that I could lay my hands on. Even for formal courses where admission is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination no information on cut off could be found on any of the sources.You can check shiksha website for the cut off details.

It has campuses spread across India at 41 locations. It is basically involved in skill development activity meaning it provides many courses of small duration to students who then can either seek employment or they can work themselves as entrepreneurs. In addition to this these institutes also offer some courses at graduation and post graduation levels also. These courses are invariably affiliated to the local government university where these institutes are located. In such cases the University grants a degree or postgraduate certificate. Having spread across India and also being involved in providing computer and information technology related training to the students, all institutes together have an online placement cell. All students belonging to any of these 41 campuses can upload their CVs and then the prospective employers can come and interview them at each of the campuses and select candidates for recruitment. As the institute is offering courses which are of duration of few weeks basically skill important courses and also of 4 years graduation and 2 years of post graduation the placements also work in that direction and the packages which are offered are also dependent on the qualification that has been earned by the student. They have campuses at more than 41 locations across India. Being an autonomous body it is authorised to grant certificates of some of the courses that it conducts. However for some courses these institutes or affiliated to the local government university and then that University intern issues the certificate to the students. Now while taking admission for the courses for which this Institute is affiliated to the universities and entrance exam is conducted twice in a year normally in the months of January and July. Admissions there after our based on the merit of the students in this entrance examination. It's in fact an autonomous scientific body. It has campuses spread across India. It conducts it's own courses in the field of computer hardware and software of various levels like certificate to PG. For some courses it issues the certificate itself while for others each institute in variable has a tie up with the local government university.
