IIT Goa offers BTech courses in four branches viz., CSE, EE, ME and MnC. Deciding the best branch among all the branches depends on various factors that are important to candidate. Some of the important point to consider while deciding the best branch of IIT Goa are mentioned-below:

1. Placements Opportunities: The common perception among students is that CSE has good placements among all the branches of Engineering. Before making the decision, it is important to look at the branch-wise placements of that particular college. Same applies to IIT Goa! In 2024, a total of 161 recruiters participated in the placement process and placed 116 students of BTech and MTech in new-age job profiles. 3. Future Perspective: The third important factor of deciding the best branch of IIT Goa is to think about the long-term goals. If someone is interested in CS and have a passion for it, then choosing CS is a good option. CSE has a good future, but it’s stressful for those who don’t have interest in it. If a candidate has strong command on Mathematics, then combine Mathematics with Computers Science. Mathematics and Computing Engineering (MnC) branch at IIT Gaa trained students in Algorithm Development, Data Analytics and Scientific Computing. They have lots of opportunoties in the current market as well as in the future.

Indian Institute of Technology Goa has a very big campus like other IITs and offers various facilities to students. IIT Goa has classrooms, hostels, a library, and cafeterias. Some of the other campus facilities include:

IIT Goa JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 4654 and, 10653 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. The Last Round for Computer Science and Engineering is 4654 for the General AI category.

Furthermore, according to IIT Goa OBC AI category cutoff 2024, the Last Round closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering is 1987. 

No, candidates can only get into IIT Goa for M.Tech on the basis of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores followed by COAP counselling. There is no provision for Management quota or direct entry available at the college. Prior preparation is very important as the competition is very high and seats are limited.

The IIT Goa BTech cutoff 2026 was released for the first rounds for various All India categories. For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 6448 to 12299. As per this range, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest couse for admission.

IIT Goa applications usually open in second week of June every year. The applications closes by the end of June. The institute also conducts a written test followed by interview to shortlist aspirants for the PhD programme. Aspirants with a valid score in GATE, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, etc. can also apply for the PhD course.

Candidates need to complete a master's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent degree with 60% aggregate or CPI 6/10 or equivalent. (55% aggregate or CPI 5.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST) to apply for IIT Goa PhD programme. Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum of 70% aggregate or CPI 7 (65% aggregate or 6.5 CPI for SC/ ST candidates) can also apply.

The tuition fee of BTech at IIT Goa is INR 8 lakh. They need to pay a one-time payment of INR 7,000. Candidates need to pay the course fee as the last step of admission process to confirm admission. This number is taken from official sources. It can change.

IIT Goa offers a four-year BTech programme across four specialisations. Admisison to all these BTech courses at all IITs is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. All BTech specialisations available at IIT Goa along with their seat intake are mentioned below:
