Hi Sahil,
According to latest information, the IIT Joint Admission Committee is contemplating to introduce a written section in JEE 2017. Making the rat race tougher, this new step is likely to increase the level of complexity to an exam which is already considered the toughest in the country due to its multifaceted percentile system.

As u Are SC, you may get good private colleges with scholarships too. But you should have minimum 50% marks in HSC to match basic eligibility criteria for private engineering colleges of India

search JEE main rank predictors on google. and try each one of the predictor you see like shiksha, careers 360, resonance, topprs, etc. from all the results you get, take out an estimate of it. this will be your predicted rank which will be much closer to your actual rank.

ofcourse you are eligible. but i would rather prefer u to do 12th again with up board. because there is much chance of getting a greater % with that board.also u can prepare for jee and do better

Yes, there is a relaxation for SC and ST of 5% .So ,70% for SC and ST .But when we talk about percentile it decreases rapidly with decrease in percentage, such about 56.33 percentile for 70%.

You are eligible and you need to match the minimum criteria for attending jee. Even you are applying for the next year, first complete the improvement test and try to get your percentage up to 80% and prepare for jee. All the best!
