You might get lower branches in some NITs but it's not worth it. You can go to other colleges or drop out and appear again next year. I suggest you take your time and focus on JEE core and progress. Because boards and JEE at the same time are difficult for many students to manage. Or your ideas aren't clear because you haven't given them enough time, so there's no harm in taking a drop. But a few things I want to clarify about taking the plunge, assuming it's the only chance life has given you, and you won't waste that chance by sacrificing social media accounts like fb, Instagram, etc. You have OBC category so make sure it is considered for your next year job. In conclusion, whatever your rank is this year, it does not determine your rank in next year's JEE, so don't let your rank discourage you and take it as an indicator of how much effort you have to put in. Hello Harivel, the basic eligibility to get admission in Amrutha is their own entrance exam and hence your performance in JEE Mains will not have much effect on your eligibility to get admission. However if you have scored 78.5 percentile in JEE Mains then I am sure you will do well in the entrance exam conducted by Amrutha and then you can get admission their. The last date is just around the corner on 18th of April.
