It is possible to get admission to a government engineering college with a 70 percentile in JEE Main. However, it is unlikely to secure a seat in the top-tier NITs or IIITs, which typically require a minimum percentile score of 85-90. Instead, candidates should explore other prestigious government colleges that accept JEE Main 70-80 percentile scores, such as SAGE University, Symbiosis University, and GITAM University.

You can get the following colleges based on your JEE rank and 12th percentage:

  1. Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad
  2. Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi
  3. HKBK Group of Institutions, Bangalore
  4. School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (It is for B.Arch).

And if you are under the reserved category, then you can get a better college.
