Thapar University requires a minimum of 20% (i.e., 72 marks) in JEE Main Examination for admission to B.Tech courses. However, for admission to the best branches, a score of around 80-90 or above 90 percentile is recommended. With a JEE Main score of 84 percentile, it may be challenging to secure admission to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch, which is known to be the most opted course out of the 12 specialisations offered by Thapar University.
