The JSPM University accepts entrance exams like MHT-CET/JEE/Preeminent Education and Research Association (PERA) CET. MHT CET and PERA are state-level exams, which are generally easier in comparison to JEE. As JEE is a national-level entrance test, it is cosidered more difficult than the other two.

Yes. The JSPM University is a state private university and recognised by university grant commission (UGC). It was established in 2023 under the Maharashtra University Act (2023). JSPM University offers various courses in UG, PG, Diploma, Doctorate, and certificate programs. The university curriculum is industry-oriented and includes extracurricular activities as well. BTech at JSPM University is available in 10+ specialisations and in lateral mode too.

For getting admission to a BTech course at JSPM University, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% (40% for the reserved category) and must clear entrance exams like JEE/MHT CET/PERA CET. Candidates need to score valid marks in entrance exams and fill out the application form from the official page of university.

For BTech courses, COEP is more affordable because it is a government university and the fees is not as high as JSPM University. The fees of both universities are tabulated below:

While comparing the COEP and JSPMU, it is seen that the admission process of both is pretty same. The students must have passed 12 Class with a science stream to get admission in both. Both the universities accept exams like JEE/MHT CET for taking admission in BTech. The JSPM university offers 11 specialised subjects with approximately 1140 seats, while COEP offers 10 specialised subjects with approximately 758 seats. But the score requirements for entrance test are different in both the universities.
