To get there in B.Tech in computer Science and engineering (lateral entry), you need to have scored minimum 60% (general category).
Rest for general B.Tech, you can manage with 45% only.

Yes, students of Kanpur institute of technology get placed in very highly reputed companies and MNC's .
Here's to a hint of that, companies such as TCS, Google, tech Mahindra etc. come and offer campus placements to the students here !
Almost 85% get placed on campus . A total of 190 students wer placed and were offered the maximum package of up to 10 lpa

Kanpur institute of technology considers various factors in determining the cutoffs. They considered the number of seats, previous year cutoff trends,
Difficulty level of exam, number of applicants appearing in exam etc.
Candidates who qualified JEE advanced according to the criteria of 2023 will be considered high chance of admission in Kanpur institute of technology.
It should be kept in mind that the cutoff of Kanpur institute of technology does not guarantee the admission in the institute it only makes the chances high of getting admission in the institute.

Documents required during the admission in Kanpur institute of technology are High school marksheet and certificate, intermediate marksheet and certificate, TC, migration certificate and character certificate, medical fitness certificate, caste certificate (if any), Identity proof of student and their parents and also photograph of the student.
Apart from these, graduation degree and certificate, if want to do M.Tech or m Pharma.
Domicile certificate is also very important.
Income certificate if the student is eligible for scholarship.

Kanpur Institute of technology, since its inception in 2004, is one of the finest institutions in Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh as well. It is better for CSE, it is good in terms of placement and the fees depends upon the type of course one wants to study. If we talk about the fees of B.Tech then approximate it's 75000 per year, which is kind of affordable as compared to other colleges which require Lacs of fees.

The institute has released the combined placement data for PG (2-year) courses in the NIRF report 2023. As per the report, 100% of placements were achieved in 2022 placements. The median package offered to PG (2-year) students was INR 3.30 LPA. The table below mentions the KIT Kanpur placement details for PG (2-year) courses:
