The process of counselling is conducted based on ranks, preferences of the candidates, and seats available in participating institutions during Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test). It is done in a multi-round process. Registration and document verification followed by preference for colleges and courses is mandatory for candidates.

The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024 results were declared on September 28, 2024.

Candidates can access their results on the official Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website.

For admissions to Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI), candidates should refer to the specific PGCET codes assigned to the programs they are interested in:

  • MBA: B365MB
  • MCA: C520MC
  • M.Tech: T970

These codes are essential for the counseling and seat allotment process.

Yes, you can be admitted to the MBA/PGDM course at Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies without Karnataka PGCET. Even though Karnataka PGCET is one of the entrance exams accepted by the institution, candidates can also approach with valid scores from other national as well as state-level exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT.

The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test determines the allocation of colleges based on one's exam rank, preferences, and availability of seats. After the announcement of results, one must participate in counseling. That means you choose colleges and courses according to your rank. Based on that, the system allocates a seat to you. This depends on the availability of seats in the preferred college and eligibility requirements. After college allocation, habitual document submission and fees payment must be done to complete the admission process.

KLE Technological University admits students to the MBA programme based on Karnataka PGCET ranking. The minimum cutoff ranks for the MBA programs in the university differ from one year to another but in the previous years it was between 2890- 3923. If you secured 9013 rank in Karnataka PGCET exam, then getting an admission in KLE Technological University MBA programme would be competitive. There are 180 seats in the MBA programme in the university and the MBA admission process involves the process of counseling and seat selection according to rank of the candidate.

Hi, First of all very well done for your remarkable rank of 14539 in the Karnataka PGCET exam in the year 2024.

You can literally get admission into any good and reputed college of Karnataka except the top 7 colleges as their cutoff rank is below 13,000 but other than that any college on the basis of your rank.

Yes, even if you are a non - Karnataka Student you need to visit the college physically for verification of your documents. During counselling After the PGCET exam, every student who gets the allotment letter needs to physically verify the documents from that particular college.

No, you can't get admission to St. George College of Management, Science and Nursing MBA/PGDM course without Karnataka PGCET. Selection to the MBA/PGDM programme  is based on the score obtained in CAT (Common Admission Test)/ CMAT (Common Management Admission Test)/ PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test)/ KMAT (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test) and 50% marks obtained in graduation.
