The university releases the CMAT and Karnataka PGCET cutoff for the course. Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women's University offers admission to BSc courses solely on the basis of merit obtained in qualifying examination. However, the university has specified a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12. Candidates with 45% or more have a pretty good chance at getting into the university. However, candidate must have completed Class 12 from a recognised state or national board.

Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women's University offers admission to several UG and PG courses. Admission to all these courses is based completely on the merit. Some courses also require an entrance exam in order to secure admission. KSAWUV only accepts CMAT, Karnataka PGCET, GUJCET, and KCET scores for entrance-based course admissions.

Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women's University offers admission solely on the basis of merit. The eligibility criteria varies for each course. However, the admission to all courses is based on the merit acquired in the qualifying exam as well as scores obtained in the course-level entrance exam. Candidates who wish to apply to KSWU, must fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria.
