Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology is an autonomous institution affiliated to VTU. In 2016 - 2017, 34 companies visited for placement and it has a good placement record too.

Hello Pratik,
Manipal indeed admits students via lateral mode also to its engineering graduation programme. Questions are invariably of the same level as that for Diploma exam. I am attaching a link that will give you all the required information.

AMIE doesn't offer B.Tech, first of all, and neither it is valid. It is not recognised by AICTE and is a complete waste. BCA from SMU is also a waste as SMU is not a very good distance course provider. I would suggest taking lateral entry into regular BCA or B.Tech. Instead of pursuing a distance course as they will not be able to get you a job. I am saying this because I have done courses from both SMU and AMIE (which I dropped) and they are not at all helpful.

MIT Manipal is better than SRM on several levels and also the placements are better.
